• Perhaps I am slow on the uptake, but Brutal Truth are also recording a new album for 2011, well actually it has already been recorded, and the title for the release is "End Time", due this Summer. (source)

• Not really music related news in the purest sense, but google video willl be closing down and all its content with it, in favour of having youtube as googles only video service, you are now able to download and transfer all google videos to youtube. (source)
• This tickled my humour and is typical of google genius yet comical tactics, youtube users who upload copyrighted material and are caught on it, have to watch an educational video and pass a quiz on the subject of copyright, before being allowed to upload again! (source)
• HMV have been given support suprisingly by the record label industry offering to cut the costs of supply in order to throw a lifeline to the dying industry behemoth, (source)
• Suprisingly the EU has hired a former record Industry representative, with the task of a a new music copyright, as for the direction he is likely to go is unclear at the time being (source)
• L Dram is missing in action, but known to be pondering if readers will ever understand this whole L Dram scenario's.

• They say what comes around goes around, remember when Metallica took Napster to court? Well Napster might be buying out Warner Brothers Music, of which Metallica belong to. Poetic Justice?

• Feel like a broken record on this one, but once again Grindcore Karaoke has released some new amazing material, including Robocop's demo, and Death Cult Jocks first full length, here.

A L. Dram has reportedly smuggled himself into Libya, where he claims he intends to sell life insurance to rebels and loyalist forces, however amongst his belongings was a Kcmota CD, and as the international community has not yet fully recognised the rebel government as being the official government, Gaddaffi's 32 year old ban on heavy metal music and its derivatives is still legal and effective, where L.Dram risks being conscripted into the loyalist army as punishment. No one from the White House has commented yet.

Random Fact of the Week: Colgate had trouble marketing in Spanish speaking countries, by virtue of the fact that in Spanish Colgate is the imperative form of go hang yourself.

• The Grind World Wide Series will be done every month instead of every two weeks, academia must prevail, plus give it more time for people to voice their opinions.
• As per usual Grindcore Karaoke shows no sign of stopping its free killer grindcore rampage.
• Myself and Luke Oram have launched our own label Dataclast Records, all releases will cost 5 us cents the exact cost it is for us to host, so that way we stay completely non-profit, and incur no financial loss to ourselves. Currently we have 3 releases that you can preview for free, just to get a hint as what the label will be offering soon. Artists feel free to get in touch, and readers spread the word!

• Grind and Punishment offers a outlook into the death of physical and the rise of digital music here, with Luke Oram offering a series of opinions here (alongside contact with the future), mine to follow suit soon.

Ohhh what is this Grinders Digest Post?  I hear you say, well it will be a weekly column where I share the happening ons and news from stuff that should be relevant to you readers regarding the music industry and the state of affairs of the scene. Feel free to make additions of what I have left out in the comments section, and feel free to let me know about anything that I should include in the next instalments of .

• Our Favourite Dystopian Punk Ryan Page, has released his film to be purchased here alongside his other material, or can be viewed here.
• Grind & Punishment is now doing a very interesting mixtape series, to happen every Friday covering a different letter of the alphabet, the first post being here.
• Maruta will be dropping their contribution to the Grind Wars on the 22nd of this month, available on pre order via Willowtip. Of the three preview songs I have heard here, here and over here, they go heavy on the tech death metal moments. You can listen to all their previous material for free  via their bandcamp.
